From my time in Kandy I really got to see the role of the Sri Lankan nurse in comparison to the UK.

I was a little bit apprehensive initially about travelling with a company such as Work the World as it would limit my independence, but in fact it served to enhance my experience.

The approach to delivering healthcare in a resource-limited setting was something I took back into my training in Canada.

I was greatly involved in caring for the women and assisting in delivering babies

I just knew that a placement in Ghana would allow me to experience pharmacy practice in a whole new way and give me a better understanding and appreciation of the profession throughout the world.
